Contact Email v Additional Email Addresses

If a Back Office User wants email notifications for Order Confirmations and Edits made on the Online Ordering Site AND in the Back Office, they need to add their email address to the Additional Email box, even if their email is already listed in the Contact Email box.

Contact Email

The Contact Email, which is the email address used for the main Account or Site receives:

  • All Order Confirmations

  • Customer-Edited Order Confirmations

  • Changes made to Orders on the Online Ordering Site.

The Contact Email DOES NOT receive Back Office-Edited Order Confirmations or Quotes. This is because if the main catering user who receives these emails edited an Order in the Back Office, they do not need the Email Confirmation Changes.

Additional Email Addresses

Any emails added to the Additional Email box will receive:

  • All Order Confirmation Emails

  • Customer-Edited Order Confirmations

  • Changes made to Orders on the Online Ordering Site.

  • Confirmation Emails with Back Office Order Edits

Add Additional Email Addresses

  1. Go to Setup > Organization > Account.

  2. In the Additional Email Box, add any email addresses that you need to receive Order Confirmations and Edits on the OOS and Back Office.

  3. Separate multiple Email Addresses with a comma.

  4. Click Save.

Add Additional Email Addresses in Multiple Sites

If your account uses Multiple Sites, Email Confirmations and Edits are sent to the email address associated with that Site or Location.

  1. Go to Setup > Organization > Multiple Sites.

  2. Click the Site you need to receive email updates for.

  3. In the Additional Email Box, add any email addresses that you need to receive Order Confirmations and Edits on the OOS and Back Office.

  4. Separate multiple Email Addresses with a comma.

  5. Click Save.

Customer Additional Email Addresses

If a Customer wants a copy of the Confirmation Email to go to additional email addresses, you can add that in Customer's Profile.

  1. Go to the Customer Module.

  2. Find the Customer and click View/Edit.

  3. In the Details Tab, scroll down to Additional Email Addresses.

  4. Enter any extra email addresses that need to receive Email Confirmations.

    1. This can be useful if the Customer is a business and wants a copy of the confirmation email for their finance team.

Contact Additional Email Addresses

If a Customer Profile has multiple contacts, someone might not want to recieve Email Confirmations for all of them, but only a select few.

  1. Add additional email addresses to a single Contact Tab by going to the Contact Tab within the Customer Profile.

  2. In the Addtional Email Addresses Box, add any extra email addresses that should get notifications regarding Orders placed under this Contact.

On their Online Ordering Page Profile, a Contact can set up additional email addresses on their own. They can do this by logging in and accessing their Profile Settings.

After adding these Additional Email Addresses, you may need to go to an Order that's already been made and Reconfirm the Order. This will send a Confirmation Email to the newly added emails.
