A Customer might indicate a business or group that you cater to. For example, ABC Lawyers Inc.

Within ABC Lawyers Inc. there may be multiple employees who place Orders. They can all be set up under one Customer, ABC Lawyers Inc., as Contacts.

Each person will have their own payment method and email address for Order Notifications. Since they're all under one Customer, ABC Lawyers Inc., the caterer knows that they're under that one business.

A Contacts tab for a Business Customer might look like this:

Each person has their own Email Address for Order Updates, Payment Information, and Login Credentials to order online.

When Setting Up Multiple Contacts is Beneficial

  1. When an Order is placed, the Order confirmation email and subsequent updates are sent to the Contact email address and the Customer email address.

  2. Each Contact has their own Login, Password, and Profile to place orders online.

  3. The business knows which Contact placed each Order. This helps with organization and accountability to track who orders what within the company. As a caterer, you know who to get in touch with for any questions or payment info.

This is how the Contacts tab can come in handy!
