It's possible to set your account to receive notifications for Orders which are Edited or Cancelled by Customers online.

For example, you may have a Cut-Off Time for Next Day Ordering at 3pm This means a Customer must place an Order and make any Edits or Cancellations by 3pm the day before the Order is set to be made. If you want to be notified when an Order has been edited ahead of the default Cut-Off/Lead Time, the Back Office offers an option. Once set up you'll be notified a set amount of time before the Order date if it was edited or cancelled by the Customer.

Prior to this set Notification Time, you won't be notified in the Back Office if an Order was edited or not. This helps to keep the caterer from being oversaturated with updates regarding Orders. Because of this, we at Spoonfed suggest that you generally set the Order Notification Update to occur approximately one week before an Order is scheduled to be fulfilled. This way, the catering team has enough time to adjust for any changes without being overwhelmed by changes that are not yet relevant.

Edit Notification Options

Go to Setup > Online Ordering > Options to set a number of hours to be notified. Scroll down to Edit Notification Options. The Notifcations Reminder counts the hours by the day, not by how long the store is open. If you want to be notified a day in advance, for example, enter 24 into the box below.

As Spoonfed suggests, a week in advance is typically a good time to be notified of any Order changes. By hours, we would enter 168 to get that week in advance notification.

Enter this number into the section below under 'Edit Notification Options.'

Click Save at the bottom.

Get Notified

Once inputted and saved, a caterer will be notified that amount of time prior with a yellow banner that appears at the top of the screen. The banner appears as soon as they log into the Back Office.

There, a user can click the link in the banner to see what Order was edited and what changes were made.

Customer Edited Orders

You can also view all the Orders that have been edited within the Notification Reminder in the Orders Module. In the Orders Module, select the Tab called 'Customer Edited Orders'.

Any Orders that have been edited within the Notification Reminder Setting will show up here.

Click the button 'Clear' to clear the orders, indicating that all updates have been checked and noted for.

Additional Notes

Note that if your Account has Multiple Sites, you or your colleagues can only get notifications for Sites they've been assigned to.

Also note that the Notification Lead Time is attached to the Time Zone of your given Site from which the Order was placed.
