When an order is created in the back office but not confirmed, it goes into the 'Draft Orders' tab of the Orders Module

This might happen if you are unable to complete the order in the back office in a single sitting. Rather than confirming the unfinished order and causing the customer concern, saving it allows you to complete the Draft Order at a later time.

Customers ordering online cannot create a draft order.

Orders can be removed from the Draft Orders tab by confirming them or cancelling them.

Draft orders are not the same as 'Quotes', which can be shared with the customer and made live on their say-so. A draft order is made live by Confirming it.

It is good practice to keep an eye on the Draft Orders tab to ensure that you have not forgotten to complete any orders in the back office.
