View Payment Status and Confirm Refund of an Order

Where to view a credit card payment confirmation within an order. There are the main spots where we can check the payment status of an order. In these same places, we can double check that a refund was issued.

There are four different ways to confirm the Payment Status of an Order.

  1. View Transactions

  2. Messages Tab

  3. Payment Status

  4. Payment Tab

View Transactions

View if an order was paid via the Payment Gateway by selecting View Transactions:

Statuses will show up like below. If an order was not charged, the columns will appear blank. If an order was refunded, that refund will be shown here.

An order that was refunded will look like this:

Messages Tab

The Messages tab will show you any email confirmations that were sent to the customer, which often act as "receipts" to track if an order payment was changed, charged, or refunded. You can view all these emails along with the date and time they were sent by selecting "View Content".

Payment Status

You can also check the Payment Status of an order in the Payment Status within Order Details. If the order was refunded or is awaiting payment, it will say here.

Payments Tab

The Payments tab displays all of the payment information for an order. It is also where you go to Validate or Pre-Authorize a credit card that has yet to be verified.

A Validated credit card will look like this.

A Pre-Authorization Hold will look like this:

A refunded credit card payment will look like this:

A card payment will look like this:

These are all the different ways that you can check payment status on an individual order. If a refund was processed, these are also where that refund status will be reflected.
