What is the Authorization Dashboard?

The Authorization Dashboard is a feature that can be set up to allow an individual or individuals to review orders that have been placed by customers. This could be users outside of the catering team and/or the catering team themselves.

What does it do?

Instead of orders being automatically Confirmed when placed by customers, the details get sent to the designated Authorizer. The Authorizer can then choose to "Approve" or "Reject" the order.

During the checkout process, customers assigned to an Authorization Group will be required to choose the Authorizer who will review their order.

Order Statuses

When the Authorization Dashboard is set up, additional order statuses become enabled.

  • Pending - This status communicates one of two things:

    1. A new order has been placed and is waiting for the Approver to review

    2. Edits have been made to an Approved order, and those changes need to be reviewed by the Approver

  • Approved - The order has been approved by the Authorizer. The customer is notified via email

  • Rejected - Order has been rejected by the Authorizer. The customer is notified via email and may review the reason if the Authorizer has left a comment as to why

Note: Once an order is rejected, this action cannot be undone
